As a holder of a Canadian driving licence you can drive in Norway for a periode up to a year. There is no need for an International Driving Licence.

If you have planned to stay longer than one year, you have to change your canadian driving licence into a Norwegian one within the first year. You also have to pass a test.

Click on the link on right side to read the leaflet which informs you how you can continue to drive if you hold a driving licence from a foreign country. Different rules apply to persons with a driving licence issued in the European Economic Area (EEA) and to those with a driving licence issued outside this area.
