Visa/residence permits to Norway

Last updated: 29/04/2010 // Due to a Scandinavian agreement, the Danish Embassy handles applications for visa and residence permits for all the Scandinavian countries.

Canadian citizens can go on vacation to Norway for up to 90 days without a visa. If you are staying longer than 90 days, or your purpose for the trip is to work, you must apply for a residence permit.

Citizens from other countries might need a visa, including those who are permanent residents. To find out whether you need a visa or not visit the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration or contact the Danish Embassy.
