Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre was in Ottawa on 29 March to attend the five-nation Arctic summit hosted by Canadian Foreign Minister Cannon together with colleagues from the US, Russia and Denmark. The meeting focused on Arctic issues and how to meet the challenges in the polar region.
While in Ottawa Foreign Minister Støre also hosted a breakfast presentation to a group of journalists and decision makers outlining Norway’s High North strategy and policy, before he had a productive bilateral meeting with his colleague Canada’s Foreign Minister Cannon.
