Arnt Håkon Ånesen is a Norwegian contemporary composer. His piece “Historicism” for sinfonietta will be performed by the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, conducted by Lorraine Vaillancourt, in Québec on Thursday August 19 at 08:30 pm.
“Historicism” for sinfonietta was originally ordered by the Bodø Sinfonietta in 2009, and the very first performance of the piece took place in Bodø on May 28, 2009.
Mr. Ånesen will participate as one out of 14 participants at the Domaine Forget “New Musical Session”. Ånesen has received funding from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a scholarship from Domaine Forget.
