Applying for a visa to Norway

Due to a Nordic representation agreement, the Danish Embassy handles all applications for visa and residence permits for Norway and all of the Scandinavian countries.

Canadian citizens can visit Norway for up to 90 days without a visa. However, if you plan to stay longer than 90 days, or the purpose of the trip is to work, you must apply for a Residence Permit.

Citizens from other countries and Canadian Permanent Residents may require a visa in order to visit Norway. For more information, please refer to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigrations homepage.

All visa applications must be submitted in person at a VFS Global Application Centres.
